Lay the blocks on frost-protected foundations, about 40cm deep for the pillars and 25cm deep for the walls, and 10cm wider than the blocks. |

Pour the foundations and place four 8 or 10mm diameter steel rods to stabilize the pillars. |

Once the foundation has hardened, lay the first block and set level.
Lay the following blocks. Stagger the vertical joints. |
With Chambord pillar, it is possible to make warrow joints between elements with a white fine mortar.

Before filling, the elements must be internally lined with polystyrene or similar to act as a soft medium and to prevent the effect of differences of dilatation. |

Fill with a lean concrete mix in 75cm (one bucketful of cement for five bucketfuls of sand and gravel). Tamp with a stick. Wait for a few hours between layers. |
